Drupal Aid started with a crisis that changed our view of website security forever.
October 15, 2014 changed everything for Drupal websites. A critical security vulnerability called "Drupalgeddon" was announced, and within hours, thousands of Drupal sites were under attack.
But something remarkable happened: our clients never panicked. They never even noticed a problem. Our manual maintenance and security updating processes had already quietly protected them, applying the security patch immediately when it was released.
As news of Drupalgeddon spread to national media, we saw the stark contrast. Our clients were safe, but countless other Drupal websites were being compromised. We realized that the maintenance processes we had developed over years could help these other website owners too.
That's when we decided to create Drupal Aid - a dedicated service to provide the same level of maintenance and security that had protected our existing clients. We wanted to make our proven processes available to any Drupal website owner, not just sites we had built ourselves.
